In a training that I did last night I presented the class participants with I.C.E stickers and the handout that Safety Trainers has to go along with them.

One individual said to me "I heard about that before but I didn't believe it was real"

Since that was not the first time something like that has been said to me it really got me thinking......

I need to let people know about this program.

The I.C.E. sticker is a way to show lay and professional rescuers that you have listed the In Case of Emergency contact in your mobile device.

In the event that something happens to YOU how can we identify who you are and if there is medical information that we should know about to better help YOU.

If you ever got an email about this or read it in a magazine, medical professionals( EMT's, Paramedics, Police and Fire Fighters) are trained to take a look at your phone for this sticker to identify an established emergency communications protocol. This started in the UK and has now traveled into the US.

Do you travel overseas for business?

This is spreading as a world-wide campaign!

Darcy & Joe, Thank you so much for the I.C.E. stickers. I have made sure that my daughter and her friends have placed them on their phones and have set up their I.C.E. contacts. They are now spreading the word to others on the importance of this program.

I too thank you for the stickers. I feel more at ease knowing that I will be contacted in case of an emergency and that if I am that emergency, the people I have chosen will be contacted.

This is a great idea, my son's emergency numbers are programed using the I C E system! I still need a sticker...can I get another one? Funny the new phone did not come with the sticker...LOL!

Sharon,
I am happy to here that you are putting the stickersd to use. In 2006 it is reported that 1.6 million people could not relay information to the ER staff because they were incapacitated.
Noe you are pretecting yourself and your family from being a part of that statistic.
Nice job!
Regards,
Joe

Joe,
Stickers can be purchased icesticker.com. But at the next meeting see Darcy and she will be able to give some to you. We want everyone at BNI to have them.
Thanks,
Joe

Amanda,
You can absolutely have another sticker. See Darcy at the next meeting and we will get you one. Was the new phone verizon? All new verizon phones are supposed to come with it. If it did not than you might want to contact your provider about that.
Thanks,
Joe

The ICE stickers are a great idea. Until listening to Darcy and Joe speak about the importance of them, i never realized how much a simple sticker can help in a panic situation. I have them now on all my phones and encourage others to do the same.

Tracy,
It makes me feel good that you have them on your phones. It is something that gets overlooked everyday by millions of people.
Stay Safe,
Joe
