Department of Public Health (DPH), Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) & OSHA Reguired Trainings

Obstructive Airway Training: Chapter 94: Section 305D. Each restaurant, having a seating capacity of twenty-five persons or more, when food is being served, an employee trained in manual procedures approved by the department of public health to remove food so lodged in a person's throat.

First Aid Training :  General Industry Regulation - 1910.151(b) In the absence of an infirmary, clinic, or hospital in near proximity to the workplace which is used for the treatment of all injured employees, a person or persons shall be adequately trained to render first aid. Adequate first aid supplies shall be readily available.

SafetyTrainers provides the following programs specifically designed to keep you in compliance with the Department of Public Health, Massachusetts Board of Professional Licensing, Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) and OSHA.

First Aid Course includes information and training in the first-aid skills recommended by OSHA, all in a format that can be delivered in a single day, teaching rescuers to effectively recognize and treat adult emergencies in the critical first minutes until emergency medical personnel arrive. All scenarios and lecture material is based on your company's policies, standard operating procedures, and industry requirements.

The core module includes: general principles, medical emergencies and injury emergencies for first aid.

CPR/AED The AED Course teaches the basic techniques of adult CPR and how to use an AED. The AED course includes operation, application, maintenance, AED Implementation Guidelines, and a practice skills session. We have enough equipment and supplies for all students to participate with minimum wait times. Students will also learn about using barrier devices in CPR and giving first aid for choking. The course teaches how to recognize the signs of four major emergencies: heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest and foreign-body airway obstruction.

Obstructed Airway Training for the restaurant industry. You will learn how to recognize, respond and execute the skills needed to assist a choking victim. You will learn what to do for someone who is too tall, too big, too short, pregnant or if you are by yourself.

Bloodborne Pathogens Training for those who may come in contact with potentially infectious materials as part of their job, You will learn about transmission of disease, prevention, universal precautions, exposure control, labeling and exposure determination.
