AED IMPLEMENTATION PROGRAM

Early Access to Defibrillation

The American Heart Association and National Safety Council strongly encourage business and public facilities to establish Automated External Defibrillation (AED) programs to increase the chances of survival for people with heart-related emergencies. With proper emergency response training and an emergency plan, an AED could save the life of a co-worker, friend, family member, or stranger.

What is a Public Access to Defibrillation (PAD) Program?
Public access to defibrillation (PAD) means making AEDs available in public and/or private places where large numbers of people gather or where people who are at high risk for heart attacks live.

How do we get started?

Legal Concerns?

All 50 States have Good Samaritan Laws. These laws provide limited immunity for the compnay or facility that acquires the AED(s), the people providing training, and the person who uses the AED.
